Bali – Yoga Trip & Tips

Yoga Trip & Tips for you : adress Yoga, Food & Fun

With my friend Julie we went to Bali to deepen our Yoga practice. We chose the city of Ubud for its yoga center: Yoga Barn.
A schedule of classes from 7h to 21h, with teachers of different nationalities, all very professional. We took a 20 course card as well, a course cost us 7 euros! Unbeatable in France for classes of 1h30, of such quality in such a beautiful space.

Ubud is a very safe and pleasant city, it is really the Mecca of Yoga there. You can find vegetarian and vegan restaurants on every street corner, and frankly we feasted on every meal!

We stayed at the Tegal Sari Hotel, a 4 minute walk to Yoga Barn (it was very convenient) and a 15 minute walk to the busy Ubud area. By animated, I hear pedestrian street with healthy canteens and nice shops, because Ubud is a very quiet city, attractive for yoga, rice fields, tea and coffee plantations and, monkey forest. The vegetation is green thanks to the heavy rains! I’m not exaggerating, it was raining from 10am to 2am non-stop everyday! Lovers of idleness in the sun go rather to the seaside in Indonesia !! 😉

You can find all our adventures in Ubud, in the videos below.

Seminyak

After a week in the land in Ubud we booked our last days at the seaside, in the hip little town of Seminyak.
Much less exotic than Ubud because there are large American brands like Starbuck Coffee, Seafolly or Havaianas but it remains a charming city with a local DNA unlike the neighboring city Kuta that I had visited during a previous Trip to Indonesia where there are only US signs and it is a shame !!

There are many less yogis than in Ubud but I still spotted 3 excellent yoga studio:

The main activity is going to see the Sunset on the beach, sitting in the lounges chairs of the beach bars.
I took the opportunity to do some runs on the huge beach and it’s also a good surf spot to start.

Level healthy food, again you are spoiled for (delicious) choice, the traditional Earth Organic Coffee (which you find in Ubud elsewhere) vegan restaurants more trendy where the decor is just cannon! like Kynd or Coffee Cartel. Do not expect to find Balinese! It is frequented by Asian tourists come for lunch and shoot with their professional devices !! And you will be tempted to do the same thing in view of the beauty of the places …

And enjoy it to party if you like to dance, the nightclubs open earlier than in France and that’s great: the fever from 22h!
